I am so excited.
I was perusing through the 8 bajillion satellite channels that we have
(note to self: find out just what we are actually paying for…)
and I happened to see something that I couldn’t quite believe that I saw. Because I didn’t quite believe it, I flipped right past it so fast, I thought “no…I really didn’t just see that. Did I?”
I went back, slowly, hoping that maybe I really did see it.
And I did!
There it was.
How long has it been since you’ve seen this! For me, its been YEARS and years at least. I have been trying to describe to my six-year-old, just who Bugs Bunny is.
Me: “Dont you know who Bugs Bunny is? You know. The big Rabbit? What’s up doc?”
Russell: [blank stare]
I was a Looney Tune FANATIC as a child. I loved them all. I watched them every single Saturday morning. I laughed, even though as a kid, the jokes were so colored with adult innuendo that I had no idea what they were talking about, but as long as there was someone getting hurt, it was funny.
I think I had a few favorites.
Marvin the Martian.
Don’t forget his trusty dog K-9. Ha! So funny…
“I’ll shoot you with my Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator”
I was also a HUGE fan of The Hair…
Ha! He was gettin’ his nails done…hahahahahahaha…
You can’t make this stuff up!
How about the Puma? Remember the Puma?
“How many lumps (sugar) would you like?”
“Oh, two or three…”
WHAM WHAM WHAM!!
Every morning at 7am and again a noon, one of the cartoon channels shows looney tunes.
My DVR is on overdrive.
I guess it would be just as easy to get them on DVD, but personally I think you lose the romance in watching them on the TV set, with all the crappy commercials 🙂
Anyone else out there love Looney Tunes as much as I do? Who is your favorite character?
