Drunken Apple Pie

Have you ever seen the movies with Jackie Chan and he is a drunken martial arts master?

Ok, this pie has nothing to do with that, but those are some funny movies.

This Apple Pie outshines all the other pies. Believe me, I have had ALLOT of other Apple Pies.

Bourbon Apple Pie

Make Better Butter Pie Crust

3 whole Large Fuji Apples, Peeled, Cored, And Sliced Thin

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 cup Sugar

1 Tbsp All-purpose Flour

1 cup Heavy Cream

2 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 Tbsp Bourbon

1/8 tsp Cinnamon

Add apple slices to large mixing  bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together cream, brown sugar, sugar, flour, vanilla, bourbon and cinnamon. Pour over apples. Pour apples into pie shell.

Make this topping…NOW

7 Tbsp Butter

3/4 cup All-purpose Flour

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/4 cup Pecans (more To Taste)

1/4 cup Heath Bar Candy, in pieces

In a food processor combine butter, flour, sugar, pecans and salt. Mix until everything comes together in clumps. Pour this amazingly fabulous topping over apples.

Make a foil casing around pie pan and lay a piece of flat foil loosely over the top of the pie. Place pie pan on top of a rimmed cookie sheet and bake for one hour. At the end, remove foil, toss in some toffee candies and allow to finish baking and browning.  Bake for about 15 or 20 minutes more if necessary.
