Make This Cake NOW!

Take your favorite chocolate cake recipe. You know, the one your Momma gave you, or your Grandmother passed onto you as a wee child. Take it.

And toss it out!

That’s right. I said TOSS it!

Ok, or…modify it. You know me…the modify queen.

I am going to take the easy road on this one, but use whatever one you wish.

Cake Madness.

1 box chocolate cake mix – NO pudding in it.

1 1/2 cups of water (or if you are me, milk. WHOLE milk. All the fatty goodness.)

3 eggs (ok, make it 4)

1/3 cup olive oil

1 box of chocolate instant pudding (or butterscotch, or fudge, or…whatever)

1 cup of sour cream. Real sour cream (again, none of this non-fat non-taste stuff)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup cake flour (just because)

1 tsp REAL vanilla

Ok. Dump your cake mix into a mixer bowl and add everything but the flour. Mix on low for 45 seconds. Scrape the sides. Mix on  medium for 2 minutes.

Add Flour. Mix until fully incorporated.

Ok. Here comes the good part.

Add 1 cup of mini marshmallows and 1 cup of melted creamy peanut butter. Stir in by hand. Be gentle. Fold it in even. If you are feeling frisky, toss in some chopped nuts.

Pour into a lightly greased and floured 9 x 13 glass cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 32-34 minutes. Can you Smell it? Its done.

Remove and let sit for 5 min. Take the end of a (clean and splinter free. Please, do NOT find out the hard way on this one, people) wooden spoon, and poke a bagillion holes in the cake (ok, even holes about an inch apart).

Take one can of Dulce de Leche, scoop it into a microwaveable bowl, and melt it. Yep, make it all melty and stuff. Don’t eat it. It’s hard, I know. But don’t. Pour that bad boy ALL OVER the top of the cake. Spread the love around. Cool in the fridge for an hour.

Take a small carton of heavy whipping cream and pour that into your clean and COLD mixing bowl. Add 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted), 1 dash of salt and whip it till it’s just before stiff…lol.

Add 1 tbsp of peanut butter flavoring (or heck just melt some peanut butter again and pour it in). Whip until soft but firm…lol…ok, I’ll behave, peaks form. Spread it all over the top of the cooled cake. If you’re daring, sprinkle some shaved chocolate over that.

Eat. Eat a BIG piece. Hid this and eat the whole thing before your family comes home.

then workout like MAD for the next month.

Its SOOOOOOOO worth it.
